About Kailash

One of the most sacred mountains in the world, sacred to four religions: Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, and Bon. No one has ever climbed it out of respect. Pilgrims circumambulate the mountain on a 52 km trek. Hindus believe it is the home of Lord Shiva. It is the source of four major Asian rivers. The mountain is near Lake Manasarovar, one of the highest freshwater lakes in the world.
