About Kangchenjunga
The third highest mountain in the world. Its name means Five Treasures of Snow. climbers traditionally stop short of the true summit out of respect for local beliefs. It was believed to be the highest mountain until 1852. It is sacred to the people of Sikkim. It has five peaks above 8,000 m. The area around it has some of the highest biodiversity on Earth.
