About K2 detail
K2 is called the Mountaineers Mountain because it requires technical skill at every step. It has been summited fewer times than Everest despite being 250 m shorter. The Abruzzi Spur is the most common route. Winter ascent was not achieved until January 2021 by a Nepali team. It is the only eight-thousander never summited from its east face.
