Known as the Savage Mountain - the most dangerous of the 14 eight-thousanders with a fatality rate of 1 death per 4 summits. It is considered a much harder climb than Everest. It has never been summited in winter until 2021. Over 90 climbers have died on it. It is the second highest mountain on Earth. Its remote location makes rescue nearly impossible. The Bottleneck couloir is one of the most dangerous sections in mountaineering.
