About Mount Elbrus
The highest mountain in Europe, often considered one of the Seven Summits. It is a dormant twin-peaked volcano. The east summit is slightly lower at 5,621 m. Over 30 climbers die annually, mostly from poorly equipped groups. It is considered one of the easiest Seven Summits. The name is Persian for sharp peak. It has 22 glaciers.
